Space Compass is a space consulting company based in Slovenia, dedicated to
empowering businesses to enter, expand and navigate their way in the space sector.
With a deep understanding of the space industry, Space Compass leverages its relationships within the Slovenian space ecosystem, including academia and private companies, to provide tailored consultancy services. These include strategic guidance for businesses to navigate the complexities of the space sector and to facilitate R&D collaboration between businesses and academic institutions to foster innovation in space technologies.
Our Founder
Žaklin Butinar
Žaklin gained experience on user engagement, projectnmanagement and partnership development in the space sector through her role as a project officer at Eurisy, a non-profit association of national space agencies and offices responsible for space affairs, which also allowed her to get an insight into the European space sector and the work of ESA. Prior to that, Žaklin researched the space ecosystem in the United States as a Fulbright scholar at Columbia University in New York and worked as an advisor at the Slovenian Ministry of the Interior, where she learned about policymaking and legislation adoption on the state level. At last, having worked in a law firm focusing on providing support to start-ups from intellectual property to contractual matters, Žaklin gained a thorough understanding of business development, legal and business challenges that companies with new projects face.
